Arabic, or العربية al-ʻarabiyyah is a Semitic language and the lingua franca of the Arab world. There are more than 30 varieties of the Arabic language including Egyptian Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic, and Gulf Arabic. Its the official language of 22 countries with approximately 310 million native speakers across its varieties.
